New Greek-Made TECHNOHULL 23-Foot RIB Tops Out at 50 Knots

TECHNOHULL, the Greek yard that’s been making high-performance RIBs since 2005, has just introduced a new T688 model, it’s smallest yet at 23’ 6”. Powered by a 250-hp outboard, the new RIB tops out at 50 knots, and can be used as a tender to a larger boat or as a fun sportboat in its own right.

The T688 is designed with a center console with an optional T-top; the passageways mean you can walk from bow to stern on either side. The driver and a guest sit in two wrap-around, shock-absorbing seats, while another seat is built into the forward part of the console. A large sunbathing area is forward, and a gangway in the bow makes it easy to go ashore. A settee for three is at the stern with a special backrest.

The new RIB is built with a lot of carbon fiber to keep the weight down, while the hull is laid up with a vacuum infusion process and epoxy materials. All TECHNOHULLs are equipped with ORCA Penel Flippo 1670 tube fabrics.

Owners can choose either a four-stroke outboard from 150 to 200 hp or a two-cycle outboard from 150 to 250 hp. The hull is a deep-V for smooth performance even in a chop.

Specs.: LOA: 23’6”; Beam: 8’3”; Draft: NA; Disp. (including engine): 3,527 lbs.; Fuel: 66 gals.; Water: 21 gals.; Power: Up to 250-hp outboard.
