Hylas Building New 49 Motoryacht for U.S. Owner

Hylas Yachts, which makes high-end cruisers at the Queen Long yard in Taiwan, just delivered a new M44 motoryacht to an American owner in the Chesapeake and is finishing up a new M49 motoryacht for another American owner on Lake Michigan. Andy Huang, the Hylas CEO, said the M44 “has been an evergreen model for Hylas, with good levels of interest shown across the boating world.” Hylas has sold ten M44s since it started the model in 2015. Hylas Launches New 31-Knot, 49-Foot Power Cruiser

Hylas Yachts has just launched its new M49, a two-cabin, two-head cruiser with a low  profile, a seakindly hull, and a 31-knot top speed. The company said it built the 49 as the request of owners of its 44 who wanted a larger boat. The third cruiser in the Hylas power fleet is a 58. Hylas has a worldwide reputation for building high-quality sailing yachts. Hylas Launches New M49 Blue-Water Cruiser

Hylas just launched its new M49 powerboat for sea trials. It’s the third powerboat in the Taiwan builder’s fleet, which already included an M44 and M58. A blue-water cruiser, the long, low, lean M49 is powered by twin 370-hp Yanmar diesels with straight shafts. Hylas is a semi-custom builder, and the M49 comes in two superstructure styles. The Cabriolet has classic windows in the salon, and a shorter overhang from the cabin top over the aft deck and a pull-out Bimini for added protection. Doug Zurn Designs New 35-Knot Hylas M58, Another Classic Powerboat

Doug Zurn, one of the most prolific designers in the United States, has teamed up with Hylas Yachts to create a new Hylas M58 powerboat that seems to carry all of his signature lines for the traditional sailboat builder. With its low profile, long straight sheer and more than a hint of clean, classic Down East lines, the new Hylas M44 was just introduced to the United States at the Palm Beach show.
