City Approves Palm Beach Show, Opening March 25

Here’s some good news: The City of West Palm Beach just officially approved the Palm Beach boat show that starts March 25. Read the story from the Palm Beach Daily News: The City of West Palm Beach on Monday granted final approval for the 35th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which is scheduled for four days starting March 25 along Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Palm Beach Show Opens March 25, Live

The Palm Beach International Boat Show, which was held only virtually last year because of the pandemic, will be held live and in person this year, from Thursday, March 25, through Sunday, March 28. Informa, the London-based, international event-management company that runs the show, says it will observe the Covid 19 protocols to insure the health and safety of everyone involved. Palm Beach Boat Show Opens May 14 – On Line

The Palm Beach International Boat Show, rescheduled twice because of the coronavirus pandemic, now will open on Thursday, May 14. And you can watch it from the comfort of your home; it’s all on line. The 35th edition of the increasingly popular show originally was scheduled to run from March 26 through 29 on the West Palm Beach waterfront along Flagler Drive. Then, as virus spread, it was rescheduled from May 14 through 17. France Bans All Boating; Lots of Changes in the U.S.

Things aren’t quite that bad in the United State, but French authorities just prohibited all boating activities, at least until March 31. The ban was designed to contain the spread of the coronavirus. In the U.S., many boating events – boat shows, fishing tournaments, owners’ rendezvous – have been cancelled or postponed. Some yacht clubs have closed, marinas have adopted restrictions, both Sabre and Back Cove had to postpone their big 50th anniversary celebration from this June to next year.
