Pardo To Build New GT65 with IPS1350s

Cantiere del Pardo, the large Italian builder, just announced at the Düsseldorf show that it’s planning a new Pardo GT65 cruiser with a walkaround deck, flexible layout, and Volvo IPS power. The 65 will be the third model in Pardo’s GT series, falling between the existing 52 and the 75 that’s coming later this year. The new GT65 will carry all of Pardo’s signature lines, with its reverse bow and low profile. It has wraparound glazing, a folding aft window in the salon that opens to the cockpit, a sliding glass sun roof in the salon, and large windows and…

Pardo Unveils New 75 Flagship

Pardo just unveiled its new flagship, a 75 T-Top, with clean uber-modern lines, a slightly reversed bow, and a transformer-type transom that folds out again and again. The new, Italian-built 75 features a walkaround layout on the main deck for easy cruising and a carbon-fiber T-top that protects the central helm and lounging area. An upper galley is aft on the starboard side with a dry bar. A three-person seat faces the helm. The foredeck is a major relaxing area, with a large lounge and table centered and a sun pad forward. The major social area, however, is all the…

Pardo Unveils New 72 Long-Range Cruiser

Pardo just unveiled plans for its new Endurance 72 at the Düsseldorf show, the second in its line of long-range cruisers. The Italian yard introduced its first Endurance, a 60, at the Fort Lauderdale show last October, and the new 72 has the same slightly reversed bow, raked windshield, tinted wraparound windows, and barely visible flybridge as the original. It’s scheduled to be launched in the spring of 2024. Standard power on the new 72 comes from twin 800-hp Volvo IPS1050 pod drives. With optional 1,000-hp IPS1350s, the boat has a range of 900 nm at 12 knots. The large…

Pardo Unveils New 60 Cruiser at FLIBS

Pardo Yachts is unveiling its new Endurance 60 long-range cruiser at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this week. The new Pardo, with its slightly reversed bow, raked windshield, tinted wrap-around salon windows and barely visible flybridge is certainly eye catching, but it’s also an efficient and comfortable cruiser. It features teak walkaround decks with high bulwarks, and two terraces that fold out from the aft deck. Standard power is twin 550-hp Volvo IPS700 pod drives, which give it a 12-knot cruising speed and deliver a range approaching 1,000 nm. Optional 600-hp Volvo IPS800s take the top speed up to…

New Pardo 50: Head-Turning Walkaround

Walking around the Norwalk show last week, I passed the Pardo docks and then did a double-take. So did a lot of other people. The new Pardo 50 Walkaround tied up stern-to there had a simply immense aft deck, wide and inviting, with sun pads and sofas and an al fresco dining table that would make it a show-stopper wherever it went. The new Pardo had the company’s signature post-modern European minimalist look; no frills, just straight lines, with a slightly reverse bow and an open foredeck that almost rivaled the aft deck in size and sunning abilities. The large…

Pardo Building New Endurance 60 Long-Range Cruiser

Until now, Pardo, the Italian builder, has established a worldwide reputation for clean, fast walkaround boats with striking ultra-modern lines. Indeed, it has built more than 100 Pardo 38s, 43s, and 50s in just the past two years. Now, the yard is expanding its reach, making the Pardo Endurance 60, a long-range luxury cruiser, while still paying homage to its family lines and aesthetics. The new Pardo Endurance 60 is a three-stateroom, three-head cruiser with the minimalist Euro style (and the iconic Pardo bow) that have defined the company. Standard power comes from two 550-hp Volvo IPS700 pod drives; with…

New Pardo 50 To Be Launched at Cannes, Following Success of Last Year’s Pardo 43

The new high-performing, head-turning Pardo 50 will be launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival, starting Sept. 11, exactly a year after the Italian builder’s first boat, the Pardo 43, was introduced there to wide acclaim. Indeed, Pardo has already sold 33 of the 43s, a significant number for a brand-new offering. Although Pardo itself is new (the company was founded in 2016), it is an outgrowth of Cantiere del Pardo, the high-end yard that has built more than 4,000 Grand Soleil sailboats since 1973. It wanted to get into the luxury, high-performance powerboat market, so it first developed the 43…
