Now being completed in Taiwan, the new Horizon PC74 is a combination of lots of space, performance and luxury. The company says it is both the “ideal entertaining platform” and “the ultimate cruising yacht” with “the interior of a superyacht.” A lot going on there. The 74 will be the flagship of Horizon’s power cat fleet, which now has 52- and a 60-foot models, and is designed to be a larger version of the 60.
For the PC74, large is the operative word. Everything on the boat is writ large – the four staterooms, all with en suite heads, are huge, while the crew’s cabin is built for three and has its own head and kitchenette. The formal dining area on the main deck has seating for eight, while the dining table on the covered aft deck seats ten.
The PC74 is designed for ease and comfort, with the primary living areas on one level. The aft deck, with built-in sofa seating and a wet bar, opens into the salon, with a large social area, the formal dining area, a gourmet galley, island seating for informal meals, and a bar. Then the master stateroom is forward with a walk-around king bed, sofa, vanity, lots of storage and 180-degree views.
On the accommodation deck below, one king-sized stateroom is in each hull; another is in the aft section of the port hull, while the crew quarters are in the aft section of the starboard hull. Up top, the fully enclosed flybridge has two helm chairs, a day head, barbeque, and a sun pad and boat deck aft.
Built with SCRIMP resign infusion and benefiting from infrared hull testing, the new PC74 is scheduled to be launched in the fall. We don’t have specs or power information yet. In addition to the power catamarans, Horizon has built some 700 yachts over the past 30 years. For more:
