Lazzara Yachts, based in Tampa, just unveiled a new Limited Edition LSX 67 that it calls the ultimate “sport express yacht.” Lazzara will launch the new 67 at the Miami show, starting next February 15.
The new LSX 67 has some innovative features, particularly a full-beam master stateroom that has direct access to the aft deck entertainment area and a beach club, something that is usually only seen in superyachts. There’s even an uninterrupted view aft via a sliding glass door, plus views port and starboard through large windows.
The beach club effect is enhanced with unusually large, wing-shaped terraces that drop down from both sides of the aft deck. The cockpit there has two L-shaped lounges on each side and a centered table.
The 67 also has a large entertaining and sunning area on the foredeck with a U-shaped lounge and table plus a multiple-person sun pad. You can reach the foredeck via teak walkways on both sides of the yacht. Polished stainless steel and teak railings give the new Lazzara a superyacht touch.
Large sliding glass doors lead from the aft deck to the salon with L-shaped seating to starboard and an entertainment area to port. The helm, with two seats, is forward to starboard. The entire salon is protected under a sweeping hard top with a retractable sunroof.
Stairs next to the helm lead down to the accommodations deck with a galley and seating area and three cabins and three heads (plus a one-person crew or extra storage cabin). The VIP is forward, a twin cabin is aft a bit on the starboard side, the one-person cabin to port, and the master is farther aft, with a centered, aft-facing bed.
Standard power comes from twin 900-hp Volvo IPS1200 pod drives, producing a top speed of 33 knots. Optional 1,000-h Volvo IPS1350s give a top speed of 42 knots.
