Zeelander Rebrands with a New Sensuous Look

Zeelander, the high-end Dutch yard, is going for what it calls a sensuous new contemporary look, starting with its new almost-56-foot Zeelander 6. It just delivered hull number one with a paint job that matched the color of the owner’s Ferrari Superfast 812.

“Our boats still offer the unmatched comfort and performance for which Zeelander is known across the world,” said Sietse Koopmans, who founded the company in 2008. “But with the launch of the first Zeelander 6, we are shifting the dial from retro classic towards a more timeless contemporary design.”

After consulting with clients, Zeelander decided to undertake a company rebranding, going for a sleeker style and with a luxurious interior with lots of rich wood and soft leather finishing.

The new helm station has a wraparound windshield providing an uninterrupted 360-degree view. An electric sun shade can cover the aft deck. The new Zeelander 6 has the company’s iconic sloping transom that leads to a super-sized teak platform that seems to go on forever.

It also delivers on Koopmans’ insistence on little vibration and low noise levels. Indeed, the noise level at the helm at a top speed of 40 knots is just 70 dB(a). The company says you can barely hear the generator at anchor.

You can order the Zeelander 6 with three sizes of Volvo’s IPS pod drives, IPS950, IPS1200 or IPS1350. Its LOA is 55’ 7”, the beam is 16’ 2”, and the draft is 4’3”. It has three staterooms with berths for six people on the lower accommodations deck.

The new sensuous look is here to stay. “With the launch of the Zeelander 6,” Koopmans said, “all of our boats have been restyled and rebranded. We have three models now, the Zeelander 5, 6, and 7, and soon we are going to unveil a new model in a similar style.”

And Zeelander will go to great lengths to keep an owner happy. Indeed, they went down to the Ferrari factory in Italy so they could get a perfect match for the metallic color on hull number one. Read more:
