Outer Reef just launched its first 620 Trident EVO long-range motoryacht, and it will be on display at the Palm Beach show starting March 21.
The new 620 Trident EVO has been redesigned for performance and efficiency in collaboration with Volvo Penta. Outer Reef first launched a 620 Trident in 2014; designed by Ward Setzer, who has worked on everything from superyachts to Hinckleys, it had a distinctive plumb bow and contemporary cruiser look.
Now, ten years later, the EVO version features Volvo’s Electronic Vessel Control system and the SeaTorque enclosed shaft drive. The result is smoother joystick controls, faster reactions to commands from the helm, better boat handling, and improved fuel efficiency. And the EVC 2 system provides service updates and diagnostic information so owners can be assured that everything is working properly.
Easily handled by a couple, the 620 Trident EVO also has Humphree All Speed Fin Stabilizers and Interceptor Trim Tabs to keep the yacht level, steady, and comfortable underway or at anchor.
Of particular interest to anyone contemplating the Great Loop or cruising in Florida or the inland waters of Europe, the yacht’s innovative hard top can be lowered hydraulically so it can slide under bridges or other obstructions along the way.
The Outer Reef 620 Trident EVO is a three-stateroom, three-head cruiser. The master is full-beam amidships with a king-sized bed. The yacht has bright and large living spaces; the galley in the salon is made for long cruises or entertaining on board.
The two helms are centered in the pilothouse and up top on the flybridge, where there’s a dinette, L-shaped settee and optional galley and electric grill. The boat deck is aft with a davit.
