Princess Unveils New Flybridge 58 Cruiser

Princess Yachts, the upscale British builder, just announced at the Palm Beach show that it’s building a new F58, a three-stateroom luxury flybridge cruiser. The F58 is the latest member of Princess’ F series, which already includes a 55 and 65.

Easily handled by a couple, with helm stations in the salon and up top on the open flybridge, the new Princess is powered by twin 1,000-hp MAN diesels. Optional 1,200-hp MANs are upgrades if you want even more power.

It comes with a low profile, particularly for a flybridge yacht, with sporty lines accented by a slash of glazing that runs from front to back in the hull sides. Princess says the 58 is different from its previous yachts with such features as a dedicated dinette aft in the salon and a large aft head in the master stateroom amidships for privacy. It comes with ash interior wood with a luxurious satin finish.

The upper helm is centered on the flybridge, with a matching companion seat to port. A larger seating area to starboard converts to a sun pad, and there’s a dining area with a high-low table and L-shaped seating plus with a wet bar and grill a bit aft.

The foredeck is also a major sunning area, with two large sun pads with adjustable headrests. All the way aft, the large teak swim is part of a mini beach club. Part of the transom folds down for a large bench seat for sunning or watching water sports. An upper part of the transom opens to reveal a sink and grill for an outdoor picnic.

Two teak steps lead up on each side to the aft deck, another social area, and large sliding glass doors open to the salon. The cruising-ready galley is on the port side with lots of counter space. The dinette is opposite. More seating and a small table are forward to port, opposite the helm station with two chairs.

Below, the master is full-beam amidships, with a breakfast area and a walk-in wardrobe. The VIP cabin is forward with a queen bed; the guest cabin is to starboard with twin beds that can be converted to a double.

The new Princess F58 is due to be launched early next year.
