Absolute just unveiled its new Navetta 53, a high-end motoryacht with the Italian builder’s signature profile and extensive glazing. This latest Navetta will make its U.S. debut at the Miami show in February.

A three-stateroom, two-head cruiser, the Navetta 53 is powered by twin 480-hp IPS650 pod drives. Volvo’s fingertip joystick control will make docking easy, and a door next to the lower helm on the starboard side of the salon means the captain can step out to help with the lines.

The salon offers 360-degree from large panoramic windows all around. The interior design makes use of contemporary hues, with warm tones including cream and hazelnut. The ceilings are high and corners are rounded. Refined details include leather inserts on handrails and handles.

The L-shaped galley is aft, ready to serve the cockpit. A large U-shaped settee and table are forward on the port side, opposite a two-seat settee just aft of the single helm seat.

The cockpit is open with modular furniture, essentially two sets of settees facing each other across a central table. A bar is forward. The gunwales have open cutouts to provide light and a view of the sea, and the stern parapet is glazed for unobstructed views aft.

Safe wide side decks, with integrated lighting, lead to the foredeck, with seating under the front windshield. Fore-and-aft settees set across a table provide another social area. A large three-person sun pad is all the way forward.

The flybridge is protected by a hardtop. The helm is centered, and flanked by L-shaped settees on each side. Another settee and table are a bit aft, with a bar, and there’s open lounging space all the way aft on the teak deck.

Below, the master stateroom is set full beam amidships, with a centered queen bed, vanity and large head. The VIP, with another queen bed set at an angle and private access to the day head, is in the bow. A third cabin with two single berths is a bit aft on the starboard side. In the European version of the boat, a single crew cabin with its own head is all the way aft, under the cockpit. This will probably be used as storage space in the U.S.

Specs.: LOA: 52’5”; Beam: 15’3”; Draft: NA; Disp.: NA; Fuel: 528 gals.; Water: NA; Power: 2x 480-hp Volvo IPS650 pod drives.
