New Bluephire 34 with All-Glass Roof

The new Bluephire 34 is a brand-new design, with an all-aluminum hull and an all-glass roof from one of Italy’s most experienced yards. It also introduces what the builder calls “several never-seen-before design features,” including a striking glass salon that opens at both ends, fore and aft.

The 111-foot 34 is the first of a new Bluephire line created by Tureddi  Yacht, with later models from 98 to 197 feet. Tureddi has built more than 60 yachts in the past 45 years in Viareggio and Livorno for some of the best names in the business, including Sanlorenzo, Benetti, Codecasa. But now it wants to start its own Bluephire brand, designed by Christian Leyk of Coquine Design in Spain, which has developed a reputation for cutting-edge work.

In announcing the Bluephire 34, Tureddi says it’s like “a sports car of the sea,” with its low-slung profile and sleek, elegant lines that make it “the quintessential Mediterranean fun yacht,” aimed at indoor/outdoor living.

The salon is surrounded by glass all around, including the sky roof overhead, with doors and panels that open to connect it to the foredeck and aft deck. Making full use of the Bluephire’s 23-foot beam, it provides a comfortable lounging area, with dining to starboard and a bar to port. There are more lounges near the helm, and large sun pads on the foredeck. Three staterooms below can accommodate six guests, and there’s another lounge below.

Power comes from twin 1,000-hp MTUs, delivering a top speed of 35 knots and a range of 450 nm at 14 knots.

The Bluephire 34 is a semi-custom build, and owners have a wide choice of colors and interiors. It’s being sold by Ocean Independence, with 14 offices around the world, with a base price of about $12.4 million.
