Azimut, one of Italy’s largest and most prestigious boat builders, has launch the Seadeck series of boats that are designed to reconnect boaters to the sea, build and cruise more sustainably and offer a slower and gentler lifestyle afloat.
The Seadeck 6 is a 57-foot family cruiser powered by three Volvo IPS Drives 500s (380 hp.) that can be upgraded to the 480-hp. model. The expected top end speed will be 33 knots with a fast cruising speed of 24 knots. Azimut reports that technical efficiencies in. the power train and hull design will reduce the boat’s carbon emission by up to 40%
The Seadeck 6 has a three-cabin, two-head accommodation plan, with the master suite spanning the boat’s full beam amidships, while the guest cabins lie forward where they share a head. The builder has included a small crew cabin under the aft cockpit which could be a fourth cabin for a guest or child.
To create the feel of connection to nature and the sea, the Seadeck 6’s salon has extra-large windows that give a 360 degree view of the seascape around the boat and a true indoor-outdoor vibe.
But the signature feature of the Seageck 6 has to be the Fun Island aft. The cockpit has a large, raised seat and sun bed at is center. With the folding side bulwarks and stern platform deployed, the whole cockpit becomes one large sea-front balcony with unobstructed access to the sea and to water toys. This is where the Azimut’s gentle connection to nature and the sea becomes a reality.
As Azimut says, “Welcome to the Gentle Era.”
