Australian builder Maritimo kicked off this week’s Palm Beach International Boat Show on Wednesday with the gala debut of the new M600 Offshore Flybridge motor yacht. This stunning addition to the Maritimo fleet reflects the builder’s dedication to innovation and excellence that has propelled the company since it was founded 22 years ago.

We’re really excited to showcase the M600 to our North American customers,” says Keith Teynor, Maritimo’s Managing Partner for the Americas. “It really showcases what makes every Maritimo so special from the accommodations, fit and finish, volume, and seakeeping ability.”

Maritimo has long been a leader in offshore quality yachts that have the speed, range, safety and comfort for long range cruising. The enclosed flybridge concept creates in the M600 and her sister ships, an upper deck that is a fully weather-proof living, dining and navigation area. This feature truly enhances living aboard and extended cruising.

Providing performance, reliability and comfort both at sea and at anchor is a hallmark of the new M600. She is powered by twin Volvo D13 engines rated at 800-horsepower but these can be upgraded to D13s rated at 1,000-horsepower. Maritimo uses straight shafts for simplicity and ultimate reliability and the shafts are angled at eight degrees for optimal efficiency. The shaft angle also reduces draft to only 4-feet, 10-inches.

The M600 carries 1,200 gallons of fuel in three tanks, all located low in the hull for added stability. This capacity permits her owners to explore remote cruising areas without having to worry about finding a fuel dock every few days. This makes the boat perfect for extended cruises to the Bahamas or Caribbean, or to remote coasts of British Columbia and Alaska.

Maritimo is known for the wonderful and well-thought-out living spaces on their boats and the M600 is no exception. There are three dedicated social areas, the lounge and dining area on the flying bridge, the aft cockpit and the lounge and dining area forward of the large galley in the salon. In addition, there is a spacious sunning area on the foredeck and the “Adventure Deck” and swim platforms aft.  The aft cockpit has a BBQ, sink and fridge for al fresco meals.

Below there are three spacious sleeping cabins that make optimal use of the space available.  The master cabin is amidships and spans the boat’s full beam. There is plenty of hanging and storage space and a large private head and shower.

The VIP guest cabin is forward and has the double berth offset and at and angle that opens of floors space and makes room for a small sofa. It, too, has plenty of hanging and storage space. The third cabin has twin beds. The guest cabins share a head and shower.

“We really look forward to all of these shows,” says Teynor. “It’s not only the opportunity to showcase our boats, but these shows allow our entire customer support, service and sales teams to spend quality time with our customers and potential owners. It’s often the start of an exciting journey for them and we’re here to support their boating adventures however we can, at every step during and after their purchase.”

An exciting new addition to the American cruising fleet, one that has the legs and luxury to feed an adventurous couple’s wanderlust, the M600 will get you wherever you want to go in real style.
