In January, Aquador celebrated its 30th year in business and the completion of its 4,000th boat. But who is Aquador?

Finland has become a prolific builder of sport boats and express cruisers. You may have heard of Saxdor and Axopar, which have made a splash in the US as well as around the world. But you may not have head of Aquador, even though it has been building Scandinavian-style sport boats and express cruisers for 30 years.

To celebrate this milestone, the team at Aquador are launching an all-new 40-foot 400HT at BOOT Dusseldorf in January. The 400HT is the largest boat Aquador has ever built and is a proper family cruiser with three double cabins, a large head and plenty of storage for living aboard for summer vacations.

The salon has a U-shaped dinette with a full galley. The helm is forward to starboard and has twin bucket seats. Across from it is a passenger bench. The salon has huge windows so it is full of light. On top of that, the roof over the forward end of the salon slides back to open the boat to the sky.

Aft, the cockpit has a full hard top that provides shelter from sun and rain. There is an L-shaped settee to port and the after deck is large enough to call it a beach club for sunning and swimming.

The new 440HT can be powered with Volvo DPI drives, Mercury stern drives of twin Mercury outboards.

Aquador has three dealers in the US in Florida, Maryland and Illinois.
