Tamas and Sara Hamor launched the Xquisite Yacht company in South Africa in 2014 and have spent the last 10 years bringing truly innovative, luxurious sailing and now power cats to the market. To date, they have delivered 47 truly unique yachts to happy customers.

For 2025 they are introducing a sporty 40-foot power cat that will be a fine warm weather cruiser. A two cabin, two head boat, the new 40 has a ton of outdoor space and open-air living area. On the wide deck between the hulls up forward, you’ll find two wide sunbeds with tilt-up back rests.

The salon has open sides and a large sliding sunshade that can cover the whole afterdeck. Aft lounge faces forward and has a fold-out table that will seat six for meals. The galley has a grill, a fridge and sinks for washing up, but everything is neatly hidden and streamlined.

The cockpit sides fold down to form a huge area with the after deck and the double sun bed that is built in on the back side of the lounge/dinette. This creates a spacious waterfront beach club for swimming, sunning and playing with water toys.

The two cabins are in the hulls and set up as twin berths that convert to queen size doubles with inserts. This allows for mixing and matching sleeping areas for couples and non-couples. Both cabins have their own heads and each has a separate shower.

Powered by twin 350 or 400-horsepower Mercury outboards, the new 40 power cat will have a top end speed of  38 knots and an efficient cruising speed of 25 knots.

Tomas and Sara have developed a marina and boatyard near Freeport in the Bahamas that is their Catamaran Center. They invite their prospective customers to visit and try out an Xquite yacht before buying and provide them with deluxe hospitality. Plus, they have owners’ rendezvous here and have a full service yard.

The new 40 powercat will be a perfect addition to the Catamaran Center and will make a very useful Bahamian cruiser. The boats comes with a lot of options so you can build yours as a cabin cruiser,  or set it up for SCUBA diving or kit it out for fishing in the nearby Gulf Stream.
