The boutique British builder Pearl Yachts announced this week that the company will be introducing their all-new 63 family cruiser at boot Dusseldorf on January 15. Pearl builds four models from 63 to 100 so the new 63 is their smallest offering. It replaces the 62.

The new 63 is a remarkably spacious cruiser in this size range and features five commodious social areas on the main deck plus the hydraulic swim platform aft and the roomy lounge and dinette on the flybridge.

There is a wide sun bed on the fore deck that has a tilting back rest for sitting upright. The aft cockpit has an L-Shaped dinette with twin hydraulic tables that can function as coffee or cocktail tables or expand into a large dining table for up to eight guests.

The cockpit has large fold-down balconies on both sides that nearly doubles the square footage and give the area a close  proximity to the water. Aft, the swim platform lifts and lowers hydraulically to make a beach front and open access to the large dinghy garage inside the transom.

The salon has the galley and main dinette aft with large sliding doors that open to join the space to the cockpit. Just forward there is a full-beam lounge with sofas on both side. The inside helm is integrated into the lounge so the skipper can always be part of the social scene.

Down below the master suite is accessed via a circular stairway in the salon and occupies the 63’s full beam amidships. There is a king-size bed, a nifty little seating area, plenty of drawer and hanging space and a large head with a big, separate shower stall

The guest cabins are accessed through the forward stairs and provide two twin cabins and a large VIP cabin in the fore peak. The cabins are serviced by twin heads, each with a shower stall. There is also a tiny crew cabin tucked in under the cockpit’s lounge settee.  Large hull glazing fill the interior spaces with natural light.

Pearl is known for their handsome and finely finished interiors and with the new 63 they have pulled out all the stops. The new design comes with three unique styling options for the interior spaces, the salon and the sleeping cabins below decks. You can opt for the “Luxury”,  “Modern” or “Indulgence” interiors, each with different joinery finishes and furniture styling to match.

The flybridge will be the most popular social area on the new boat. It is simply huge and has U-shaped dinette, two sofas and a large sunning lounge next to the upper helm. The hard top provides some relief from the midday sun or a touch of rain.

The new 63 comes as standard with twin Volvo IPS 1050s with the option of upgrading to IPS 1200s or IPS 1350s. With 700 gallons in the tanks, Pearl estimates the new boat will have a range of 260 miles at cruising speed.

Built one at a time for discerning owners, Pearl is a boutique builder that works closely with each new buyer to create an heirloom quality family yacht. The new 63 will go out the door for close to $2.5 million. Pearl has been making yachts since 1998 and is represented in the U.S. by Atlantic Yacht and Ship.
