We first wrote about this story in August, but now we have more details and it just keeps getting better and better. Now, in an interview played in court, the stewardess who had sex with the captain on the bow of a charter yacht in Australia while it crashed into a nav beacon and two other boats said she really “screwed up.”
According to Australia’s Daily Mail, the 80-foot charter boat Crystal Blue suffered $140,000 worth of damage when the stewardess, Cheya Handley (above), 26, was drinking and having sex with the captain, Jeremy Piggott, 46, on the bow of the boat. “Yeah, I did the wrong thing, drinking on the job,” she said in an interview with a maritime safety inspector. “I should have known better. I screwed up big time. We were chatting, laying down, looking at the stars and then got it on.”
While Handley, who also is reported to work as a stuntwoman at Universal Studios in Japan, and Piggott were having sex, the boat hit a nav beacon and two other boats before it finally ran aground. They were returning from a 53-mile charter trip on the Brisbane River and were heading for the boat’s dock on the Gold Coast.
Handley said that Piggott was driving the boat with a remote at the time, and that they did not have sex at the helm. Piggott apparently turned off a closed circuit TV that was aimed at the bow while they were there. They were drinking beer and vodka at the time.
Piggott lost his job and was fined $4,000 in an earlier court appearance. He pleaded guilty to two counts of recklessly contravening his duty to ensure the safety of other vessels. He was put on good behavior bond for two years. Handley’s trial continues.
Crystal Blue usually charters for $1,690 an hour for cruises on the Gold Coast. The headline on its website asks, “Will your special event be this much fun?” Read more:
