The  extra-large and luxurious 80 Sunreef Power will make its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, starting Oct. 26.

The hull of the new 80 was completely designed from scratch, with the idea that the massive catamaran would serve as an all-around motor yacht that could cruise long distances in safety and comfort. Powered by twin 1,200-hp MAN diesels, the Sunreef 80 has a top speed of about 24 knots and a range of 3,500 nm.

Sunreef Yachts have been made in Gdansk, Poland, since 2003. With a massive beam of more than 39 feet (about half its length), the new Sunreef has room to make cruising or living aboard comfortable anywhere in the world. The 80 has lots of classic touches, including teak decks, stainless steel portlights and high bulwarks.

The flybridge is large enough for a spa/pool, as well as an upper helm, wet bar and seating and lounging areas all around. The foredeck is full beam with a terrace and lots of sunning and lounging space.

The salon, with the galley up, opens wide to the aft cockpit, combining indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. The helm is elevated. Panoramic glazing lets in natural light. Sunreef can customize the salon per an owner’s wishes.

The master stateroom is foreward on the main deck, with a double bed facing the foredeck terrace. It has a home-sized head with walk-in shower, a dressing room, desk, and light streaming in from skylight glazing.

If the owner wants the master stateroom below, this area becomes a large lounge with access to the bow terrace. Each hull has room for two VIP cabins, with en suite heads and showers. The crew quarters, with a separate galley, are aft and can be accessed from the cockpit for privacy.

A large garage is set between the two stairways leading from the cockpit down to the swim platform aft. It can hold a variety of jet skis and other water toys. The hydraulic swim platform can handle a tender up to 1,763 pounds.
