Tiara just announced that it’s building a new 48 LE, the flagship of its Luxury Express line, powered by three 600-hp Mercury Verado outboards.
The announcement said that the new 48 will have the same multi-use social zones, amenities and performance as the existing 43 LE, but on a larger platform. The 48 will be launched this fall.
From the renderings, the 48 seems to be a comfortable vessel for an afternoon on the water or an extended cruise. The salon and helm deck are fully protected by a glass enclosure. A sun roof overhead provides light and ventilation, while sliding glass doors aft lead to the cockpit, designed as a major social zone.
The seating lounge aft and its table are on a rotating platform, so they can face aft, toward the “terrace” that drops down from the port side, or anywhere in between. An electric grill and countertop are built in to the aft side of the transom. The terrace has a built-in swim ladder, while a door on the starboard makes for easy boarding.
The galley is up on the starboard side of the salon, with a large settee and high-low table to port. The navigator’s seat on the port side can slide back to join the table, and you can flip its back to face forward or aft.
Below, the 48 LE has two large heads and two queen-sized cabins; one converts to hold two twin-sized beds.
We don’t have any performance estimates for this new Tiara, but the original 43 LE tops out at 50-knots-plus with three 450-hp Mercury Racing outboards.
