Many countries still have Covid-related travel restrictions, but now is a good time to plan for better times ahead. To help with that, Marina Nazario at Denison Yachting put together a list of the top ten charter destinations in the world. Take a look, and start dreaming: 1.Florida Keys. You don’t need a passport here, just a change in attitude to go with the change of latitude. You can cruise down the Atlantic to Key Largo, Islamorada and Key West, where you might even be able to capture the green flash as the sun goes down. If you go, you…

Northwest Explorations, the full-service adventure yacht company in Bellingham, Washington, just announced that they still have some openings left on their flotillas in Alaska this spring and summer. For many years, the company has organized flotillas up the Inside Passage to Alaska, but the border to Canada is still closed because of the Covid pandemic. If the border reopens, Northwest Explorations will hold a cruise to Princess Louisa starting June 18, and another to Desolation Sound on Sept. 24. But for now, it is organizing cruises that do not leave the state of Alaska. The first, from May 18 to…

Here’s a new charter idea from MarineMax Vacations that you can put on your wish list for when the pandemic is over, the borders are open, and we can go cruising anywhere we want to again. It’s a week-long cruise along the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, starting in Vancouver and crossing the Strait of Georgia to the islands and harbors on the western side, ending up in the BC capital of Victoria. This cruise would take you through some of the most beautiful and interesting cruising grounds in the Pacific Northwest, along jagged coastlines with pine trees growing down…

Looking for a new experience in the Caribbean? Now you can charter an Iguana amphibian boat in St. Martin, and you can enjoy your charter on land and on the sea. The 31-foot Iguana X100, powered by two 300-hp outboards, tops out at 47 knots on the water; its twin tracks, driven by a 15 kWh electric motor, power it at speeds up to 4.4 mph on land. On the water the Iguana, using Hypalon 860 RIB tubes for stability, can handle four-foot seas. On land, the amphibian can roll over almost any terrain, from mud to rocks, and can…
