Fountaine Pajot Launches New Luxurious 44-foot Cat. See Video

Fountaine Pajot just launched a new luxurious, spacious three-stateroom, three-head 44-foot catamaran that will make cruising a delight. In this latest design from the famed French builder, there’s room for everyone, inside and out; in fact, there’s room to spare. And as you can see in the video, the boat handles well, running at its cruising speed or maneuvering around the docks, controlled by Volvo’s IPS joystick. The new 44 will be introduced to the U.S. at the Fort Lauderdale boat show next fall.

For interior spaces, the salon has a long, inviting L-shaped sofa along the port side, with a smaller one to starboard, behind the lower station. The galley is aft, opening directly to the cockpit for easy indoor-outdoor eating and socializing. Below, the super-sized master stateroom is in the port hull, midships, with a walkaround bed and large en suite head and shower. The guest and VIP staterooms, also large by normal boat standards, are in the starboard hull, and each one has its own en suite head. There’s privacy and room to stretch throughout this boat.

Up top, the flybridge is protected by a hardtop with a sunroof. The upper station is on the starboard side with a long lounge stretching out behind it. To port are two separate seating and sunning areas. The bow features a wide seating and lounging area, while the full-beam, teak swim platform aft simply invites use for water sports.

We don’t have performance figures yet, but this new luxurious cat looks like it would be just as great for a long cruise as it would be for cocktails around the harbor.
