Here are five great adventures to think about for the coming year, developed by the experts at The Moorings, the worldwide charter powerhouse. If you want to get off the beaten track and tackle some new places and new charter experience, take a look.
First, the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins in Belize. With the second-largest barrier reef in the world and lots of secluded beaches, Belize has plenty to offer for charter enthusiasts. But it also has the well-preserved site of the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, with 25 temples and palaces.
Second, Skradin and Krka Waterfalls National Park in Croatia. The park is just an hour’s drive from The Moorings base in Agana (see top picture). Then you board a National Park boat to take you to the falls – and enjoy some of the settings from Game of Thrones.
Third, Wat Chalong in Thailand. A charter out of Phuket opens up the islands in the Andaman sea, plus the 29 Buddhist temples there. The most important is Wat Chalong, which has welcomed travelers for more than a century.
Fourth, Adrena-Line Canopy Zip Line in St. Lucia. If you’re feeling really adventuresome, try the Adrena-line zip line tour in the Pitons of St. Lucia. The tour starts with an easy walk through the lush rainforest – and then you’ll get hitched to a series of cables that zip you down the scenic hillside.
Fifth, Seven Sisters Falls in Grenada. You can start at the underwater sculpture park in Moliere Bay and move up to the stunning panoramic views form Fort George on a charter vacation in Grenada. Then hire a local guide to take you up to the Seven Sisters Falls in Grand Etang Lake inside the nature reserve, with sparkling pools and seven stunning waterfalls. Read more:
