You’ll probably want to keep this. Here’s a bucket list of ten top adventures in the Caribbean, places to go and things to do this year, next year, or over a period of many years. You may already have your own favorites, but you also may want to add some, if not all, of these chosen by Coastal Living. Take a look:

1.Dive beneath a full moon in Curacao (see picture, above). There’s an aquatic wonderland beneath the waves around the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao), all found in the region’s vast coral reef. You can take a night dive with “blue” UV lights and a yellow mask filter, which combine to make the fish look like they’re glowing in the dark. Better yet, in late September/early October the reef’s marine life release millions of spawned eggs, attracting a multitude of kaleidoscopic fish, all coinciding with a full moon.

2.Kayak in St. Lucia. Known for its romantic resorts and the Pitons, twin jade-green volcanic peaks, St. Lucia seems designed for Instagram moments. One way to explore the island is by taking a kayaking trip along the western coastline, a half-day adventure from Marigot Bay to Soufriere. You’ll see the Pitons up close; you’ll also glide next to lush forests, tranquil bays and charming villages.

3.Ride horses on the beach in the Turks and Caicos. You can start a horseback tour in Providenciales, the capital of the 40-island archipelago, that takes you down a trail to the beautiful Long Bay Beach and the Caicos Banks. The horses love to wade in the shallow waters, and you can stay in the group or stray off a bit on your own. Read more:
