New Argos Nautic RIBs: High-End, High-Performance Tenders for Cruising Boats

The new Argos Nautic Yachting series, with a 10-foot RIB and a larger 13’ 6” RIB, offers a combination of style, comfort and performance in a tender designed for cruising boats. The new RIBs are highly customizable; you even can have them painted to match your larger boat.

The smaller Argos Nautic 305 model (in picture above) can hold four adult passengers, while the larger 396 mode (in top picture)l can hold five. In either one, you’ll feel like you’re getting behind the wheel of an Alfa or a Ferrari on the water. (The steering wheel itself comes from Isotta.) The lines of the RIBs were drawn by Facheris Design in Bradenton, Florida, and they’re flowing and contemporary. The RIBs come with premium hand-stitched upholstery, Fusion sound, teak decks and pop-up hardware.

In the 305, the console is offset to starboard. It has a full-beam plush seat aft and another on the bow. A 30-hp outboard is recommended, but you can opt for a 40-hp outboard that will get the boat up on plane in three seconds and top out at 36 mph. The 305 has a 5’ 8” beam, weighs 440 pounds without the engine, and holds ten gallons of fuel.

The 396 has more seating and storage room. A 50-hp outboard is recommended for it, but you can move up to a 60-hp unit; in that case, the 396 also tops out at 36 mph. It has a 6’ 9” beam, weighs 595 pounds without the engine, and holds 16 gallons of fuel.
