The new Absolute 58 Navetta is an Italian-made cruiser with strong, aggressive lines and Volvo’s IPS pod drive performance. The contemporary European-styled interior is luxurious, bright and made for cruising comfort on board.
The Navetta’s large hull-side and salon windows alone give the boat a distinctive look, but so does the plumb bow, the high topsides and super-sized swim platform. And there are major social and entertaining areas basically from stem to stern; it would be hard not to enjoy your time on this boat.
You can walk on the 58 Navetta from the teak swim platform and up three teak steps on each side into the cockpit, which is protected by an overhang from the flybridge. The cockpit has lounge seating across the transom and a teak table on a stainless steel pedestal.
In the salon, there’s a large, luxurious U-shaped sofa to starboard with a table, opposite a smaller straight sofa to port. Then it’s up two steps to the galley and dining area and the helm. The galley is to starboard, just abaft the helm (with a door opening to the side deck); a U-shaped dining area is to port. Going outside, the foredeck has a large and inviting seating and lounging area.
The accommodations deck below has three cabins with en suite heads. The master is full-beam amidships with a centered king bed; a settee is to starboard and cabinets to port. A large head and separate shower are forward. The VIP stateroom is in the bow with a seat to port and a head with a shower. The guest cabin is between the two with twin berths and a head with shower. Portholes and large windows provide lots of natural light in all the living areas.
Up top, the flybridge has an upper helm with a U-shaped settee and table on the port side and a built-in barbecue and icemaker. An open lounging or sun-bathing area is aft on the boat deck.
Volvo’s IPS pod drives open up space below. The engine room, with twin 550-hp IPS700s, is particularly large with lots of working room. Absolute says the 58 Navetta cruises in the 18-knot range and can top out at about 24 knots.
