The Moorings Building New Flagship 534 Power Cat for Charter

The Moorings is building a four-cabin flagship 534 PC as the latest addition to its worldwide power charter fleet. The new cat, with a draft of just 3’ 2”, will be ready for charters in the summer of 2020.

The new 534 is being built by Robertson and Caine in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded in 1991, Robertson and Caine is one of the most important catamaran builders in the world. They also built Leopard cats.

The new Moorings 534 is designed for maximum charter comfort. The four cabins, all with en suite heads and showers, also have their own zoned AC for personal climate control. They have queen beds, with plenty of walk-around space. Wall sconces and bedside tables are meant to add luxurious touches, while the heads all have modern fixtures and finishes.

The galley and salon have wraparound windows, which let in lot of natural light, and they’re situated in one large open space. The galley has a four-burner gas stove, double-door fridge, microwave and generous counterspace and storage.

The new cat also has a water-maker, two 100W solar panels, blue underwater lights, an electric dinghy lift, and a wet bar and electric grill on the flybridge. There are plenty of lounging pads for sunbathing on the foredeck and up on the flybridge.

For navigation, the 534 PC has a full electronics suite, plus Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, 110V outlets, USB  stations an impressive sound system and a flatscreen TV on a motorized lift.

There’s an extra single berth on the port forepeak, accessible through a hatch on deck, which a hired captain can use if the four guest staterooms are all full. A head and shower are in the starboard forepeak.
