Sunreef Building New Transatlantic 100-Foot Power Cat

If you want to see what’s possible in the growing field of power catamarans, take a look at the new 100 Sunreef Power. It’s simply huge; the salon, making use of the boat’s 44’ 2” beam, reminds me of a New York City penthouse.

We don’t have many details about this new 100-footer yet, although the Polish yard says it has already sold one and will start building it soon. All told, the 100 Sunreef will have more than 5,000 square feet of living space. (By comparison, the average New York City one-bedroom apartment has 700 square feet.)

The luxurious new Sunreef will have transatlantic range, a custom interior and multiple al fresco lounging areas. Plus a spa/pool, fitness area, and what the company calls “an immense main deck lounge with panoramic views.” It also will have a hydraulic swim platform and a garage that’s big enough to hold two jet skis and various water toys.

The big cat’s lines are straightforward and powerful, with plumb bows and a reverse rake on the transoms. The foredeck, or front terrace, has multiple sun lounges. The flybridge is protected by a hardtop and front and side windows, although the aft part is open for lounging. There’s a full galley up there, a centered helm station, seating areas all around, and the spa aft.

You can see the salon in the picture above. It leads forward to the master stateroom, which also is full beam and opens to the front terrace. The accommodations deck below has a front cabin and a mid-cabin in each hull, with a large galley aft on the starboard side and two crew cabins aft on the port side.
