The latest express cruiser from Beneteau, the Gran Turismo 36 with twin outboards is designed for the U.S. market, and it combines French style with easy living and outboard performance.

Built in response to the growing demand for outboard-powered cruising boats, the new Beneteau offers 35-knot performance with sporty looks and lots of social and entertaining spaces in a two-cabin boat. It has enough room on board for a family or two couples on a cruise, while there’s enough entertaining space for seven people just in the cockpit The foredeck, with two large sun lounges with backrests, offers another social area.

The salon is filled with natural light from the raked windshield, the electric sunroof, and windows all around. There are two bench seats at the helm, which has two 12-inch Garmin MFD screens and controls for the standard bow thruster.

In the cockpit, the aft bench seats fold back and serve as headrests for an aft-facing sunbathing area. An outdoor galley completes the entertaining area there, with a sink and a two-burner stove. The swim platform is built around the two outboards.

Below, the owner’s cabin is forward, with an island double berth, two hanging lockers and storage space. The head and shower are in a separate area. An aft cabin comes with two single beds or one double bed; it has sitting headroom by the beds with a stand-up area inside the cabin door.

The cabins are separated by a galley, with a gas oven and fridge, and an L-shaped dinette seating three. Long hull-side windows let in a lot of natural light.

For power, two 300-hp outboards provide a top speed of 30 knots, while two 350-hp outboards produce 35 knots.
