New Absolute Navetta 64: Prize-Winning Cruiser

The new, award-winning Absolute Navetta 64 is a large, comfortable cruiser with a few surprises that will only make it hard to leave once you’ve spent much time on board.

You can immediately see some of the best features of the Italian-built yacht, including the unusually large, uninterrupted side windows that extend all the way back from the helm to the aft deck. And you’ll also focus on the enlarged windows in the bow.

But what you won’t realize until you’re on the Navetta is that those bow windows admit an enormous amount of light to the master stateroom, which is located forward on a raised deck to take advantage of the panoramic views. It has king-sized bed, lots of walking around room, and a full-beam head.

The other surprise is at the other end of the boat. The Navetta has an optional beach club there that converts to a VIP cabin at night. It’s behind fully-glazed, watertight doors offering immediate access to the hydraulic swim platform for water sports. In the daytime, you can flip up the end of the bed to create a sofa. The beach club also has a fridge, TV and head with shower. A separate crew cabin with its own head is accessed via a door on the starboard side deck.

The Absolute Navetta 64 has already been well received. It just won the European Powerboat of the Year Award in the up to 20 meters category, with the judges saying, “she embodies the perfect combination of flybridge powerboat and explorer.”

The boat is powered by twin 1,000-hp Volvo IPS1350 pod drives, producing a top speed of 27 knots. It has a range of 506 nm at 10 knots.

The main deck has seven feet of headroom and it’s on one level, filled with natural light. It has sofas, a large table, an entertainment area and the galley. Below, the VIP cabin is amidships on the port side, and the third cabin is on the starboard side with twin berths. Both cabins have en suite heads.

In the U.S., you can see the Absolute Navetta 64 at the Palm Beach boat show from March 25 through March 28.
