Numarine just built a new 84-feet 26XP explorer yacht with solar panels and extra batteries for extended self-reliant cruising. Powered by twin 560-hp MAN diesels, the displacement yacht has a bulbous bow a top speed of 13.5 knots and a range of 3,000 nm at 8 knots.

Built in Istanbul, the latest Numarine is the 12th 26XP to be delivered in just the past three years. And it represents advances in both solar and quiet operation. “The new yacht is the most innovative in the entire 26XP fleet,” says Omer Malaz, the Numarine founder and chairman. “She has a super-silent package with additional batteries, and the owners are aiming to operate her fully functioning without any generator power during the day.”

The new boat has an extended carbon fiber hardtop with 44.5 square meters of solar panels producing 7530 watt peak power.  It has just one generator with additional lithium  batteries.

It also has Numarine’s futuristic look, with angular windows and a vertical bow. The salon has full-height windows admitting lots of natural light; in one area the windows slide open, creating the sense of a balcony floating over the water. The salon also has a C-shaped sofa plus another smaller sofa aft, and an internal dining area next to the galley.

Large glass doors connect to the aft deck with a dining area and an oversized sun pad lounge. Stairs on each side lead down to the large swim platform. Three settees offer panoramic views from the foredeck.

The flybridge has a second helm area, with a dining center forward and a sun lounge aft. The boat deck there is large enough for a 11’4” tender.

Below, the latest Numarine 26XP has the standard four-cabin layout for eight passengers plus two cabins for three crew. The master suite amidships has a king-sized bed, a dedicated study to starboard, a lounge to port and an en suite head. The yacht also has two VIP cabins and a third with twin berths.
