Axopar Shows New 25 With a Cuddy Cabin

Axopar just had a pre-production showing of its new 25 Cross Bow boat at the Cannes Yachting Festival. It has a hardtop and a cuddy cabin with a toilet below, and Axopar’s slippery deep-V hull with twin steps. The beam is just 7’ 4”, so it can be trailered in the U.S.

An innovative Finnish company, Axopar launched its first boat, a 28, in 2014, and then moved up to a 37 and 32 that became popular in the American market. Owners loved to drive them, they’re fun, and their signature low-profile, narrow-beam design created a lot of attention.

Last year, the company moved down in size and introduced a 22 foot starter boat. But that was an open model; now the 25 offers a cabin and the possibility of spending more time on board, whether for an overnight or a weekend.

Axopar says the 25 can be powered by a single outboard, from 150-hp to 225-hp, producing a top speed of 42 knots. The boat has deep bulwarks and lots of stainless steel grabrails for safety underway.

An aft bench seat is across the transom, with seating along both sides aft. A table can be set in a slot in the deck. A double sun pad covers most of the foredeck. Twin bolster seats face the helm, and the V-berth below could sleep two. There’s also a sink below, and a marine toilet under a seat.

The official launch is scheduled for the Düsseldorf show in January. Read more:
