Maritimo, the highly successful Australian builder of luxury offshore cruising yachts, just announced that it’s developing a new M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht flagship.

The new Maritimo is a four-stateroom, three-head, blue-water cruiser with an enclosed flybridge, a creative and expansive aft deck, and a lower “adventure deck.” Low-angle, straight-shaft drives connect to twin 1150-hp Scania diesels and reduce the yacht’s draft to just 4’ 11” so it can explore more destinations around the world. It holds 2,641 gallons of fuel to ensure long-range cruising.

Maritimo’s announcement Thursday evening underscored the company’s most successful year in its almost 20-year history. Indeed, the builder has unveiled seven new models so far this year, with one more to come.   It also has invested in updating and expanding its yard on the Gold Coast, just south of Brisbane.

Tom Barry-Cotter, Maritimo’s design director, said the company collaborated with owners and clients for two years before finalizing the M75. He said there has been unprecedented demand for the company’s yachts; it already has several orders for the new flagship, which will be launched in late 2022.

The first impression of the M75, Barry-Cotter said, is “of unsurpassed amounts of deck space. The M75 adventure deck creates an incredible versatile hub for lounging, cooking, adventuring or storage, with plenty of room to spare.”

The adventure deck has a wet bar module with a sink, fridge, grill and access to the utility cabin and the engine room. The garage can hold a 10’ 3” tender, and an optional 770-pound davit.

Three steps up is the upper cockpit deck. The furniture there is in modules, so owners can choose how they want to arrange it themselves. Options include seating for eight guests (or more) in a variety of lounging and dining settings. The flybridge headliner covers the outer section of the upper cockpit deck, providing weather protection.

The upper cockpit opens to the salon, with a cruising-ready galley aft; it’s Maritimo’s largest galley to date, and it has an island bench breakfast bar.

Up top, the enclosed, climate-controlled flybridge sky lounge has an internal staircase for extra safety when cruising offshore. It has a pair of distinct lounging areas; a forward cruising lounge and an aft TV lounge; they can be set up with lounges that convert to sleeping berths. Sliding glass doors aft lead to the flybridge balcony deck.

Below, the new Maritimo has an atrium-style companionway, with lots of light and a laundry area. The forward VIP cabin has an offset queen bed and en suite head. A twin guest stateroom and day head are to starboard; a single-bunk guest stateroom is to port.

The master stateroom is amidships with a centerline king-sized bed, an aft en suite head, a walk-through dressing area, two full-height hanging wardrobes, a desk, storage and large panoramic hull-side windows.

The M75 is 75’ 8” long with a 19’ 8” beam. Read more:
