Tiara is now making its new EX60 flagship, the largest vessel the Holland, Michigan, builder has ever produced. Offered with several versions of Volvo IPS pod drives, the new 60 will be ready by the end of the year.
Tom Slikkers, the Tiara president and CEO, said, “For this particular design, we’ve blended elements we know are proven in our outboard line and have taken portions we’ve learned from the inboard models.”
With three staterooms and two heads below, the new 60 comes with several creative and expandable living features, including side decks that fold out of the bulwarks aft and four options for the aft deck itself. Depending on how you want to use the boat, you can order the 60 with a dining module, a cruising module, a lounge model, or an adventure (read: fishing) module.
Whatever version you get, the boat has opening boarding doors on each side of the aft deck. All the way aft, the hydraulic swim platform, which lowers into the water, is large enough to hold a RIB. It also raises on power rams so you can access storage.
Teak side decks go forward to the foredeck, with a bow lounge that has a sofa-styled sun pad with a raised backrest.
A glass bulkhead separates the aft deck from the salon, where an L-shaped lounge wraps around a table on the port side; a large TV raises out of the back of the galley to starboard.
A two-person seat faces the helm forward; it has a joystick on the starboard armrest to maneuver the Volvo IPS pod drives. A door opens to the starboard side deck. A three-person companion seat is across to port; the atrium stairs to the lower accommodations deck is between the two.
Below, the full-beam master stateroom with a large head is amidships. The guest cabin is in the bow, with access to the day head, and the third, smaller cabin, is to starboard.
