New Seavy 11 Power Cat from France

Here’s an early look at a sporty new entry in the growing power catamaran field, the 38-foot Seavy 11 from a new French builder, Sea Venture Yachting.

The Seavy 11 is an ultra-modern, ultra-modular cat. It already has more deck space, by a long shot, than a similar-sized monohull, but you can fold down the platforms on each side of the aft deck to add another three feet to the already large 14-foot beam. And it comes with three power options – sterndrives, outboard, or electric.

The company says that with twin 370-hp sterndrives, the Seavy 11 tops out at more than 40 knots, and cruises at 30 knots. Dial back a bit and it has a range of 900 nm.

The cat has two cabins, one in each hull, below, with twin beds each, and en suite heads. There’s also massive storage space below.

The boat has a capacity for 14 people, and social spaces abound, on the foredeck and the aft deck. The helm deck is protected by a wraparound windshield, with a door opening to the foredeck, and an optional hardtop.

Aft of the helm, there’s a cocktail bar with tables, a grill, fridge, dishwasher, even a desalinator. Lift up the sun pad on the aft deck and there’s room for a Seabob.

The Seavy 11’s first public showing will be at the Multihull Show in La Grande-Mott in the South of France, starting Aril 20. The company says the first production models will be launched early this summer.

We don’t have any more details, but the Seavy 11 looks like too much fun to miss. Stay tuned.
