Stunning Sirena 68 Makes U.S. Debut

The stunning new Sirena 68, a luxurious long-range cruiser with a hull from Germán Frers and an interior by Cor D. Rover, just made its U.S. debut at the Palm Beach show. With standard 900-hp Volvos, the latest Sirena has a range of 1,200 nm at 10 knots, and a top speed of 26 knots. With optional 1,000-hp Volvos, top speed goes up to 28 knots.

Designed for long-range cruising, with input from previous Sirena owners, the Turkish-built boat is both comfortable and seaworthy. Frers, the legendary Argentine naval architect who has designed all the Sirena hulls, drew a semi-displacement hull for the 68 for long-range performance and efficiency. The yacht’s interior, which can be customized for each owner’s preference, was by Cor D. Rover Designs of the Netherlands, which usually works on larger yachts.

The Sirena 68, with its deep, horizontal windows surrounding the salon and a hint of a reverse rake in its stem, is a head-turning yacht. Sirena first introduced it in Europe in April, 2021, and has sold 28 so far, a remarkable achievement.

“The Sirena 68 brings together all the qualities that experienced owners would seek in a new yacht,” said Ali Onger, Sirena’s chief commercial officer, “essentially an upgrade in comfort and confidence in all areas.”

For accommodations, the 68 has three cabins, all with en suite heads, below, plus an optional crew quarter aft, also with its own head and shower. The master stateroom is full-beam amidships, with a his-and-hers head and large hull side windows. A VIP stateroom is forward, and a twin-berth guest cabin is on the port side.

The massive foredeck is a major entertaining and lounging center, with a raised sun pad forward, a settee and table a bit aft, and lots of walking around room. Wide, safe side decks lead aft, where a sofa stretches across the transom, facing a teak table.

The skybridge is protected by an extended hardtop, and has an opening sunroof. A large settee is along the starboard side, with a table for al fresco dining. The helm station, with two chairs, is to starboard; another settee with a table is to port.

The salon is all on one level, with a dropdown window between the aft deck and the galley. Made for lounging or entertaining, the salon is designed with modern, straight lines; it’s bright with natural light from all the windows and is decorated in natural colors.

Sirena says they’ll do their best to customize a new yacht to fit each owner’s style. “We are a production boat shipyard and never stop building, rather like a car assembly line,” says Onger. “But we also customize every yacht as much as possible to suit individual client requests. Of the multiple yachts we complete each year, no two are exactly the same.”
