New Sustainable Electric Elegance 38

The slender, Italian-styled and silent Electric Elegance 38 is a new entry in the sustainable boating field, and it certainly has the classic looks that should turn heads in the Med or anywhere else it chooses to go.

The Electric Elegance 38 is relatively light in weight, with a carbon-fiber hull weighing less than 12,000 pounds, and it has twin shafts driven by two 300kW motors. New owners can choose among three battery packs, delivering 300kWh, 350kWh, or 450kWh.

The idea behind the Electric Elegance is to combine clean, modern lines that will never go out of style with a state-of-the-art propulsion system and, as much as possible, use sustainable materials throughout the boat. The company says it is a minimalist expression of elegance, ease and comfort.

The Electric Elegance uses synthetic teak for the decks and faux leather for the helm, aft deck and sun pad seating. The boat comes in three colors, Celeste Blu Metallic, Silver Metallic, and White Metallic. It also will have three different interiors that are still being worked out.

The boat is built in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. A 28-foot version is coming soon. We don’t  have any other details at this time. Read more: http://electricelegance38.com
