An 85-foot yacht took on water and almost sank off the coast of Turkey recently. The Turkish Coast Guard rescued all ten people on board and took them to shore. No one was injured. You can see the video below.

The yacht, named Kapky, is a Navetta 26, made by Ferretti’s Custom Line and launched in 2009. It was cruising near Doganbey Adasi Island off the west coast of Turkey when the captain called the Coast Guard about 11 in the morning to report that it was taking on water and starting to sink.

The area is regarded as some of the best cruising ground in the world, but local reports also say it has some submerged reefs. It is not known yet what caused the boat to start taking on water; Turkish authorities are investigating.

The Coast Guard took the passengers to Sigacik Harbor and then returned to drain some of the water from the yacht. A salvage operation towed it to port.

Designed by the Zuccon International Project in Rome, the Navetta 26 holds 12 people in five staterooms; a luxury yacht, it has a hot tub and a beach club. Top speed is 14 knots, powered by twin 900-hp MAN diesels.

Similar era Navetta 26s are for sale in the $2.4 million to $2.5 million range.
