Sarp Launches Head-Turning XSR 85

If you really want to make a statement with your next yacht, take a look at the new Sarp XSR 85 with its Porsche Guards Red hull that the builder just launched in Turkey. This stunning-looking cruiser is powered by twin 800-hp MANs, and it tops out at 21 knots. Dial back to 12 knots, and it has a range of 1,000 nm.

The hull color will make turn heads wherever the yacht goes. And passengers inside will have  panoramic views since the entire salon is surrounded by glass, offering natural light and visibility all around.

The salon is built with an open plan. The company says you can stand in the middle of the salon and have a clear line of sight from the bow to the transom. There are L-shaped sofas centered in the salon with side chairs to starboard. A dining table, seating eight, is forward. The galley, to port, can be opened or closed off for privacy. The wheelhouse, with two chairs at the helm, is forward.

The flybridge features a large, fixed hard top with a glass skylight, a spacious lounging area, a full bar and the upper helm.

A central staircase from the salon leads down to four cabins on the accommodations deck, all with en suite heads. The master is full-beam; the fourth cabin under the stairs can be opened up to serve as a lower lounge area. Crew quarters are all the way aft.

On the aft deck, two massive L-shaped lounges with tables are on the sides. The aft deck is open.

The new red-hulled 85 is the first in Sarp’s XSR 85 line. A second 85, with hybrid diesel-electric propulsion, will be launched this winter.

The boats are being sold in the U.S. by Denison Yachting.
