Four Winns, now part of the massive Beneteau Group, just unveiled its totally new TH36 catamaran at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Based in Cadillac, Michigan, Four Winns says the TH36 is the first in a new line of power catamarans. The TH36 has two cabins, with two heads, below and can be powered by twin 300-hp or 350-hp outboards.

The new cat is a truly international effort. Four Winns hired the Garroni Design studio in Italy to develop the lines for the TH catamaran series, and French naval architect Marc Lombard to create the stable and efficient hull shape.

“At a glance, the all-new catamaran stands out from its peers,” said Martin Mayer, the Four Winns product manager.

With its twin hulls, the TH36 has a lot of usable space, inside and out. It can hold up to 15 people for a day on the water. The forward sun lounge area can seat six. And the cockpit is a flexible area, with large sun pads that can face aft and that also can be separated to create a center walkway to the water.

The helm deck is protected by a full-beam hard top. The helm itself is on the starboard side; and a two-person seat is to port. The galley is just aft, with a fridge, sink and cooktop with optional barbeque.

Below, the two cabins have full-size beds, hanging lockers, storage and separate, enclosed showers in the heads.

For power, owners can select twin 300-hp or 350-hp Mercury outboards or twin 300-hp Yamaha outboards.

Four Winns is definitely in a growth mode. Nick Harvey, the Four Winns Brand Director, said, “From watersports to cruising, from lake to salt waters, we want every boater to enjoy the Four Winns refinement and benefit from our new technologies.”
