Nimbus Launches 365 Coupe Family Cruiser

Nimbus will display its new 365 Coupe, a sporty cruising boat with some Scandinavian flair, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, starting Oct. 26.

Nimbus, a Swedish builder, says the 365 Coupe is a functional boat; it has everything a family or a couple need for a weekend, or much longer, cruise. There are two cabins below, with one head, and two more people can sleep on the convertible settee in the salon.

And it’s made for easy handling and comfortable cruising. The walkaround side decks are protected by high railings, and there’s a door opening from the helm to the starboard side so the captain can help with the lines or docking. An opening window on the port side, next to a two-person seat opposite the helm, lets in more fresh air and light.

Two super-sized sunroofs open at the touch of a button for even more ventilation; the sun roofs have integrated blinds when you don’t want light from the sun, or the moon. An extended coach roof offers protection from the weather for anyone sitting on the aft deck.

The aft deck is on the same level as the large, teak swim platform; the platform has built-in fender storage. The aft deck itself has L-shaped seating around an expandable table that opens all the way for dining al fresco.

A sliding door opens to the salon, with a U-shaped settee on the port side facing a table on a stainless steel pedestal; it can be lowered to create an extra sleeping space for two adults. The galley is opposite. Nimbus offers it with gas, electric or induction appliances.

Below, the master stateroom is forward, and it has 6’ 1” of headroom. It has a separate door to the head, which it shares with the second cabin that’s tucked under the salon. The head has a large, separate shower.

The Nimbus 365 Coupe comes with a wide range of Volvo diesel power, from a single 260-hp to twin 300-hp.

Specs.: LOA: 37’9”; Beam: 11’5”; Draft: 3’7”; Disp.: 15,243 lbs.; Fuel: 184 gals.; Water: 71 gals.; Power: From 1×260-hp Volvo to 2×300-hp. Read more:
