Cruisers Yachts just introduced its new 50 GLS luxury sport cruiser at the recent Fort Lauderdale show, powered by three 600-hp Mercury Verado outboards.

The new cruiser is the largest in the company’s GLS sport line that starts at 34 feet. It’s a two-cabin, one- head boat, with large, open spaces fore and aft. The aft deck, which can be covered by an extendable awning overhead, has an unusually large amount of open space, particularly when the two balconies are deployed from the bulwarks on each side. Even with the outboards, the swim platform is large enough that there’s room for the cook to stand there while using the two grills and the sink that are built into the transom.

Moving forward, the galley is under the hardtop, with a dual fridge and sink. A 55-inch pop-up TV is an option. An L-shaped dinette/settee is on the port side, with a folding table. The helm has three 19-inch Simrad displays, plus state-of-the-art fingertip digital switching that controls everything from the lights to the large sunroof overhead. The bow thruster is built onto the joystick for easy maneuvering around a dock.

Push a button and a door slides open (along with part of the windshield) on the port side so you can walk up to the foredeck. A three-person lounge is built in, and there’s cushioned seating around the bow.

Below, the master stateroom is forward with a queen-sized berth, and a smaller sleeping area is tucked under helm deck. The head has a separate shower. A lower lounge has a fridge and microwave and a 32-inch TV.
