Technohull just unveiled its new Omega 48 RIB, a luxury beast that can hold up to five 450-hp outboards.

The Greek builder says the Omega 48 offers a fresh perspective on RIB performance, and that its ventilated deep-V hull design will provide a comfortable ride even in rough sea conditions.

Technohull has been building RIBs for two decades, but it now has a state-of-the-art factory in Lavrio, southeast of Athens. The new Omega 48, with its aggressive lines and over-the-top performance, is a major step forward.

The RIB’s 15’ 4” beam offers plenty of room for deck space on the new RIB, and an aerodynamic hardtop and full-glass windshield provide protection from the elements.

There’s a sun bed and a seat on the foredeck, and two rows of three shock-absorbing seats on the helm deck.

A large island sun bed is centered on the aft deck, a first for Technohull, and there’s room for a small garage aft to hold extra gear and water toys. If that’s not high on your priorities list, you can order an extra couch with table and a mini-bar there instead.

A pantographic door on the side of the console opens to the accommodations below, with an oversized double bed forward and a separate head and shower.

The power options are wide. You can order the Omega 48 with inboard or outboard power, with options from twin 600-hp engines up to the five 450-hp version.

Technohull says it will launch the first Omega 48s in the middle of next year. Read more:
