Delphia, the Polish builder that’s now part of the Beneteau Group, just launched its new electric-powered, 40-knot, Delphia 10 cruiser.

At 32 feet, the Delphia 10 is the smallest boat in Delphia’s fleet that includes a 35-foot Delphia 11 and a 42-foot Delphia 12. They are designed by Vripack, the leading Dutch firm that has worked on everything from Nordhavns to megayachts. The Delphia 10 can be powered by an electric shaft drive with Torqeedo motors from 40- to 80-hp. You also can order it with up to a 110-hp Yanmar diesel.

The new 10 comes in three versions: The Sedan, pictured above, with a traditional pilothouse with walkaround side decks and a large cockpit; the Lounge, a more open boat, and the LoungeTop, a combination of the two with a large roof for extra solar panels.

They all have the same accommodations deck below for overnights, with a queen-sized scissor berth and a head with a separate shower.

Beneteau bought Delphia in 2018; the company has been making boats in northern Poland for 30 years. The Delphia 11, introduced a year ago, was Beneteau’s first electric boat.

Delphias are designed to explore the network of rivers, canals and lakes across Europe in peace and quiet, leaving no fossil-fuel emissions behind. The Delphia 10 has an air draft of just 8’ 3” so it should be able to slide under most of the bridges along the way.

Delphia uses Torqeedo motors with lithium battery banks for its electric boats, and Yanmars for the diesel versions. It plans to produce only electric boats by 2024.

Specs.: LOA: 32’; Beam: 11’5”; Draft: 2’6”; Disp.: 14,607 lbs.; Fuel: NA; Water: 100 gals.; Power: 1×40- 80-hp electric motor. Read more and see a great video at the link below:
