Raymarine just rolled out a new series of faster and more use-friendly chartplotters and sonars plus a new marine camera.
The five new launches include Raymarine’s Axiom 2 Pro and Axiom 2 XL family of multifunction chart plotter displays. The Axiom 2 Pro MFD is Raymarine’s most powerful yet, with a six-core processor and Raymarine’s LightHouse 4 operating system. It’s available in 9-, 12- and 16-inch screens in two variations and it includes embedded High CHIRP sonar for cruising boats.
The new Axiom 2 Pro RVM includes standard, brand-new, RealVision MAX 3D built-in sonar. It has CHIRP DownVision, SideVision, and RealVision, all with faster ping rates and tighter beams to deliver clear images of the ocean bottom and the position of fish relative to the boat. The high-frequency CHIRP sonar channel has 600 watts of output power, expanding depth to 1,200 feet, and improving the clarity of fish targets.
It also has built-in 1kW CHIRP sonar working with Airmar broadband transducers so it can detect fish down to 3,000 feet. These features mean you can use it in both coastal and deep blue-water areas.
Raymarine also introduced its new CAM300 Marine Camera, which is only slightly larger than a golf ball. It has full high-definition resolution and a 160-degree field of view, making it easy to use with Raymarine’s Clear Cruise Augmented Reality system. CAM300 has built-in near infrared illumination so it can monitor remote locations, blind spots, and even engine rooms in both daylight and total darkness. Read more:
