Horizon PC68 Making Palm Beach Debut

The Horizon PC68, with a creative Portuguese bridge and expansive living and entertaining areas on all three decks, is making its debut at the Palm Beach show this week.

Up top, you can order the bridge to be open or as an enclosed sky lounge. Either way, it comes with a day head and shower, a grill, freezer, and a bar with a fridge and an icemaker. It also has the upper helm, of course, and enough seating areas to hold a dozen or so of your friends. The boat deck aft is large enough to carry a 17-foot RIB.

But it also opens to a unique Portuguese bridge forward; raise a hatch and open a door and you can enjoy a raised seating area with chairs and high-low tables, plus the best views in the house.

On the main deck, the salon seems like the size of a small ballroom, with the galley and large island bar aft, seating on the sides, and a large entertainment area forward. An optional layout has the full beam master stateroom forward, with wraparound windows.

The new Horizon has wide side decks for easy access to the foredeck, with various sun lounges for relaxing, and the aft deck, with a dining table for ten, a wet bar, and steps going down to the hydraulic swim platform between the two hulls.

Below, each hull has a stateroom with a king-sized bed, plus two more staterooms with twin bunks that you can slide together, depending on the guests’ preferences.

Horizon power cats are made in Taiwan, and the lineup now includes a 52, 60, 65, the new 68, and a 78.

The new 68 is powered by twin 850-hp MANs, producing a top speed of about 20 knots.

Specs.: LOA: 68’; Beam: 24’6”; Draft: 5’4”; Disp.: 111,112 lbs.; Fuel: 1,500 gals.; Water: 300 gals.; Power: 2×850-hp MAN diesels. Read more at http://horizonpowercatamarans.com and see the video below:
