Dyna Yachts just displayed its new 63 motoryacht at the Palm Beach show last week. Made in Taiwan, Dynas are popular in Europe and are starting to make inroads in the U.S.

The Dyna 63 is a three-stateroom, two-head cruiser that also has a two-berth crew cabin aft, accessible via doors in the transom, with its own head, fridge and microwave. If you don’t have crew, I think a lot of teenagers or an extra guest would be very happy back there.

The new Dyna is powered by twin 1,000-hp CATs, reaching a top speed of 26 knots. At its cruising speed of 23 knots, it has a range of 262 nm; dial back to 9.6 knots, and the range goes up to 880 nm.

The Dyna’s interior is by Cor D. Rover, the Dutch superyacht designer, and the layout is open and flowing, with large windows in the salon and lots of big-yacht details, including overheads trimmed in leather.

The teak swim platform is five feet wide, and can be raised or lowered with hydraulics. The aft deck features an eight-foot-plus lounge with a glass-and-stainless table for dining, plus a wet bar. Lift a lid and you’ll find a joystick so the captain can dock the boat from back there.

Large sliding glass doors open to the salon, with an L-shaped sofa to port, a teak table, and a smaller sofa to starboard. Forward, up two steps, the dining area is to port and a large galley is to starboard with granite countertops. The helm has two leather chairs, and a door leading to the starboard side deck.

The foredeck has two separate seating areas, with lounges and sun pads. Up top, the flybridge is protected by a hardtop and has sofas and settees for seating, a country kitchen with a grill, fridge and wet bar, and a seat for two at the helm on the starboard side.

Below, the master stateroom is full beam amidships, with a centered bed and a large vanity with two seats on the port side. The en suite head is forward with a walk-in shower. The VIP cabin is forward, and shares a head with the third, smaller cabin, which has two berths. A washer and dryer are under the stairs.
