Lazzara Yachts of Tampa is building its first 70 LPC luxury power cat for an owner who wants to cruise the Med.

The new Lazzara has some nice luxury touches, including the pool on the upper deck, a full-beam (29 feet) master stateroom with a balcony that folds out of the hull on the starboard side, and glazing all around the main deck to provide spectacular views in every direction.

The 70 will be powered by twin 1,000-hp Volvo IPS1350 pod drives, producing a top speed of 28 knots, a cruising speed of 18 knots, and a range of 1,000 nm. The big cat is scheduled to be delivered next year.

Protected by a hardtop, the flybridge has an upper helm plus the Jacuzzi, a barbeque, wet bar, an al fresco dining area, and plenty of sun lounges. On the main deck, the dining area is forward in the salon; the galley is half a level down with light coming in from an atrium. The salon also has a day head, a large U-shaped sofa and seating all around.

Aft of the salon, the open aft deck has more seating and sun lounges for relaxing and entertaining. Down a curved staircase on each side, the lower deck holds an 18-foot tender and two PWCs; when they’re deployed, that deck becomes a large, open beach club.

The 70 has five staterooms for ten guests, plus two more (one in each bow) for four crew. The master is set a bit aft of amidships; it has its own private access to the beach club.  The other four staterooms are forward and they all have en suite heads and showers.

Lazzara also makes an 85 in its LPC power catamaran series.

Specs.: LOA: 70’: Beam: 29’; Draft: 4’9”; Disp.: 143,300 lbs.; Fuel: 1,190 gals.; Water: 740 gals.; Power: 2×1,000-hp Volvo IPS350 pod drives. Read more:
