EJET Builds Electric Tender with 40 nm Range

EJET has just launched its new 4X 12’ 9” high-performance electric tender that has a top speed of 35 knots and a range of 40 nm. The company says it’s the “world’s first” electric jet tender, and that it outperforms all others on the market.

The 4X packs a lot of power, an electric motor providing 60 kW of continuous power, in fact, managed by an electric control unit that has three different efficiency modes on the tender’s 7-inch touchscreen: Eco, Normal, and Power. If the battery gets too low, the 4X will automatically switch to the Eco mode to conserve the battery while the driver heads back to the mothership or to the nearest outlet on shore for a recharge.

The 46.2 kWh battery pack provides up to 40 nm on a single charge. It can recharge in eight hours using an AC charger, or four hours on a fast DC charger. Owners can choose from fixed charging stations on yachts or on shore; the EJET also has portable cables with integrated charging stations.

The tender has a 5’ 7” beam, it weighs 1,477 pounds, and it draws just 1’ 1” fully loaded, so it can safely navigate through shallow water or easily be run up on a beach for a picnic. It also has a ski hook for watersports, particularly waterskiing or wakeboarding.

It comes with hydraulic steering, LED lighting for running at night, and optional underwater lights. For safety, the actuator system operating the reverse bucket enables a rapid stop in case of an emergency.

EJET was founded in Slovenia in 2016. It already is working on a larger version of the 4X.
