Prestige Wins 3 New Awards

Prestige just won three awards at the major European shows for two quite different yachts, the flagship 65-foot Prestige M8 catamaran and the 50-foot Prestige F4 flybridge cruiser.

The F4, the first model in the French builder’s new flybridge line, won an award for best interior design in its size category at the World Yachts Trophies ceremony in Cannes, while the M8 won the award for power-driven catamarans there. The M8 then won the 2023 Design Innovation Award in the Multihull category a week later at the Genoa show.

The interior of the F4 is fluid and elegant, with a blend of polished surfaces and refined, high-quality finishes. The F4 comes with some heavy-hitting names, Garroni Design of Genoa for the interiors, and Michael Peters, the naval architect from Sarasota, for the hull.

The F4’s innovative interiors bring in lots of natural light, with an Ocean View galley (pictured) opening to the cockpit, while the owner’s suite is forward and a few steps down from the salon in what Prestige calls “a semi-main deck” space with lots of privacy and panoramic views from large windows.

The M8 is Prestige’s second model in its power catamaran series, and the company says it has as much space as an 85-foot monohull on the water, or a five-bedroom home on the hard. Camillo Garroni, the designer, says “The M8 is a true villa on the sea. The layout, living spaces, ease of movement and safety on board have all been designed to optimize the experiences of the owners and their family.”

The foredeck of the M8 is unusual; it’s really on two levels, with a large sun lounge on the upper part and more protected seating toward the bow. At the other end of the boat, a transformer-style swim platform can be lowered if the owner wants to launch a tender or access the toys in the lazarette, and it can be raised so it becomes an extension of the cockpit.

Prestige is part of the Beneteau Group. The new prize-winners will be on display at the U.S. shows this winter.
