VisionF Launches 82 Flagship

VisionF, the four-year-old Turkish builder, just launched its new 82 all-aluminum power catamaran flagship.

Powered by twin 800-hp Volvo IPS1050 pod drives, the new 82 has a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 1,600 nm. VisionFs can be heavily customized, but the new 82 has three staterooms holding up to six guests, plus two more for four crew.

The cat’s beam of almost 40 feet allows for massive amounts of interior and exterior space for relaxing, entertaining or living on board for extended periods of time. The draft is just 2’ 6”, so the VisionF 82 can head into shallow waters of the Bahamas or anywhere else in the world for picnics or exploring.

The galley can be up, in the salon, as preferred by American buyers, or down, on the lower accommodations deck, for European owners. The first 82 has been sold to a European, who plans to run the boat himself and has an office next to the lower galley.

The foredeck is large enough to store a Williams jet tender and water toys, all launched with a dedicated crane. You can access the foredeck through a shell door that’s integrated into the windshield on the main deck next to the lower helm. Two sun lounges are on the bow, and a sunken lounge with a sofa and table are a bit aft.

The cockpit aft has a sofa, four chairs, a dining table and sunbed, plus stairs leading up to the flybridge that’s protected by a hardtop overhead. Solar panels are built into the hardtop and into a panel that extends out over the windshield; they produce enough power to run the cat’s house systems for 20 hours without a generator.

The VisionF is marked by long glazing that runs almost the length of the hull on the level of the accommodations deck. It provides lots of light to the cabins below.
